The tuition fee for the 2025/2026 Academic Year:
1. Master’s program: IDR 25,000,000 (USD 1,500) per semester
2. PhD program: IDR 30,000,000 (USD 1,800) per semester

UIII admissions are open from December 17, 2024, to March 31, 2025. The application fee is IDR 750,000 for Indonesian nationals and USD 50 for international applicants. Once your application is complete and all required documents have been submitted, the assessment process will begin automatically.

UIII Dual Degree
For Indonesian nationals only

UIII offers dual degree programs in collaboration with partner universities in Europe and Australia. Information can be carried out through the LPDP website at the beginning of January 2025.

The following is a list of requirements and materials required for a complete application for a UIII Master’s (MA) Degree:

  • An undergraduate degree from an accredited higher education institution.
  • Outstanding undergraduate certificate or equivalent qualifications in the relevant fields with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0 on a scale of a maximum of 4.0.
  • Have strong leadership qualities and academic background.
  • Have good co-curricular and social activities record.
  • Apply as a full-time Master’s degree student at UIII.
  • Have an English language proficiency as shown by a certificate in the form of IELTS or TOEFL. The English proficiency requirement does not apply to applicants who speak English as their native language, mother tongue, or first language or those who graduate from universities that use English as the language of instruction or medium of learning.
  • Applicants who choose to apply for the Faculty of Islamic Studies must have Arabic language proficiency as shown by a TOAFL certificate. The Arabic proficiency requirement does not apply to applicants who speak Arabic as their native language, mother tongue, or first language or those who graduate from universities that use Arabic as the language of instruction or medium of learning.

The following is a list of requirements and materials required for a complete application for a UIII Doctoral (Ph.D.) Degree:

  • A Master’s degree from an accredited higher education institution.

  • Have strong leadership qualities and academic background.
  • Have good co-curricular and social activities record.
  • Apply as a full-time Doctoral (Ph.D.) degree student at UIII.
  • Have an English language proficiency as shown by a certificate in the form of IELTS or TOEFL. The English proficiency requirement does not apply to applicants who speak English as their native language, mother tongue, or first language or those who graduate from universities that use English as the language of instruction or medium of learning.
  • Applicants who choose to apply for a Ph.D. program at the Faculty of Islamic Studies must have Arabic language proficiency, as shown by a TOAFL certificate. Description:
Applicants must register on the UIII Admissions website and complete the required assessments. Once they have declared successfully and received an official UIII Letter of Acceptance (LoA), they can proceed with registration in the LPDP system by selecting the double degree program.

For this selection process, applicants are not required to take the scholastic aptitude test.

Faculties and Study Programs

The MA in Islamic Studies program is designed to equip students with excellent theoretical knowledge and expertise relevant to lecturers, researchers, religious leaders, and policy makers to deal with a variety of theological, political, and socio-cultural issues in the contemporary era. Students will take several courses that constitute the core of their expertise in either classical Islamic discourse, Islamic law, or contemporary expressions of Muslim societies.

Barnamij Al-Takhassus Fi Al-Dirasat Al-Islamiyya Al-Turathiyya (Special Program for the Study of Classical Islam) is a concentration in the MA degree in Islamic Studies at the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII).

To become a leading and internationally recognized study program in the field of Islamic studies and Muslim communities through interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary, and transdisciplinary approaches to address national and global challenges.

The Master of Arts program in Political Science at UIII is crafted to foster a deep understanding of the intricate dynamics of politics, both theoretically and in practice.

The Master in Public Policy (MPP) program focusing on Climate Change aims to cultivate the next generation of sustainability leaders.

The Ph.D. program in Political Science at UIII stands as a beacon of academic excellence and rigorous scholarship. The MA in Economics program equips students with the advanced knowledge and quantitative skills for an economic, finance, and business analyst in the global society.

It is at the level of “Strata-2 (S2)” in the Indonesian higher education system. The study emanates the aspects of professionalism, analysis, research, and implementation of contemporary financial science.

The Ph.D in Economics program is designed to prioritize studies and research in contemporary economics, especially relating to the development of theories and applications relevant to megatrend phenomena and contains values that are closely related to the Muslim community globally.

The Master of Arts in Education program is academically unique. Students will be equipped with a comprehensive educational and scientific foundation, including philosophical, theoretical, sociological, religious and methodological foundations.

The IIIU’s Faculty of Education offers a degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Education. The doctoral program in the Faculty of Education is dedicated to studying the basics of comparative educational philosophy and its variations in Western and Muslim societies to learn traditionally defined areas such as the history of education and research methods in education, educational philosophy, sociology and academic anthropology.

Currently, UIII does not accept transfer credits. All students must complete the full program as outlined in the curriculum.

Working is not permissible under the student visa policy in Indonesia. UIII offers full-time academic programs, so students are expected to prioritize their studies.
