Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII) Admissions for the 2026/2027 Academic Year

PTNBH UIII offers you unparalleled academic opportunities and experiences. Read the information below to find out further about the programs and the requirements.

The tuition fee for the 2026/2027 Academic Year:
1. Master’s program: IDR 25,000,000 (USD 1,500) per semester;
2. M.Fin in Sustainable Finance Executive Class program: IDR 50,000,000 (or equivalent based on the exchange currency rate) per semester; and
3. PhD program: IDR 30,000,000 (USD 1,800) per semester.

PTNBH UIII Admissions are open from 29 December 2025 to 25 February 2026. The application fee is IDR 750,000 for Indonesian nationals and USD 50 for international applicants. Once your application is complete and all required documents have been submitted, the assessment process will begin automatically.

Academic Qualification​

What matters is your ability to submit a strong application that demonstrates you are capable of excelling in a robust Master’s (MA) and Doctoral (Ph.D.) programs at UIII and that you have a clear vision for your future.

The following is a list of requirements and materials required for a complete application for a UIII Master’s (MA) Degree:

  • An undergraduate degree from an accredited higher education institution.
  • Outstanding undergraduate certificate or equivalent qualifications in the relevant fields with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0 on a scale of a maximum of 4.0.
  • Have strong leadership qualities and academic background.
  • Have good co-curricular and social activities record.
  • Apply as a full-time Master’s degree student at UIII.
  • Have an English language proficiency as shown by a certificate in the form of IELTS or TOEFL. The English proficiency requirement does not apply to applicants who speak English as their native language, mother tongue, or first language or those who graduate from universities that use English as the language of instruction or medium of learning.
  • Applicants who choose to apply for the M.A. in Turath Islam for the Faculty of Islamic Studies must have Arabic language proficiency as shown by a TOAFL certificate. The Arabic proficiency requirement does not apply to applicants who speak Arabic as their native language, mother tongue, or first language or those who graduate from universities that use Arabic as the language of instruction or medium of learning.

The following is a list of requirements and materials required for a complete application for a UIII Doctoral (PhD) Degree:

  • A Master’s degree from an accredited higher education institution.
  • Outstanding master’s certificate or equivalent qualifications in the relevant fields with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.5 on a scale of a maximum of 4.0.
  • Have strong leadership qualities and academic background.
  • Have good co-curricular and social activities record.
  • Apply as a full-time Doctoral (PhD) degree student at UIII.
  • Have an English language proficiency as shown by a certificate in the form of IELTS or TOEFL. Applicants must register on the UIII Admissions website and complete the required assessments. Once they have declared successfully and received an official UIII Letter of Acceptance (LoA), they can proceed with registration in the LPDP or BIB system by selecting the double degree program.

The MA in Islamic Studies program is designed to equip students with excellent theoretical knowledge and expertise relevant to lecturers, researchers, religious leaders, and policy makers to deal with a variety of theological, political, and socio-cultural issues in the contemporary era. M.A. in Islamic Studies Specializing on Digital Islam

The MA in Islamic Studies Specializing in Digital Islam aims to produce distinctive experts at the intersection of digital humanities and Islamic studies, equipping them with both strong academic foundations and practical computing skills. This concentration is a visionary response to the rapid developments at the critical juncture of technology, humanities, and Islamic studies. It is designed to address the needs and challenges of the digital era within the broader context of industry needs and Islamic scholarship. Located in Indonesia, one of the world’s largest Muslim-majority nations and among the most digitally active societies, UIII provides an unparalleled laboratory for studying digital Islam. While studies in digital humanities continue to grow globally, no institution currently offers a dedicated program that integrates digital humanities with Islamic studies, what we define as ‘digital Islam.’ The establishment of this concentration is therefore a groundbreaking initiative, positioning it to become the pioneering MA program in the world focused specifically on this emerging field.

M.A. in Turath Islam​

M.A in Turath Islam at the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII) aims to establish itself as a center of excellence in classical Islamic studies by developing visionary and relevant Islamic studies that address contemporary socio-religious challenges and problem.

Ph.D. in Islamic Studies​

To become a leading and internationally recognized study program in the field of Islamic studies and Muslim communities through interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary, and transdisciplinary approaches to address national and global challenges.

Master of Finance (MFin) in Sustainable Finance ​

This program sparks the ideas and discourses beyond conventional finance. In this study, the students are encourage to critically position financial matters to contribute in solving the problems in environment, social, or governance areas. Be it for the context of local, regional, national and/or international vantage point. Therefore, this program would intrigue both scholarly works and professional practices among students. In collaboration with all faculty members, the students will also engage into a various lifelong learning activities set to enrich the knowledge, as well as to enhance both academic and practical skills for the future.

Master of Finance (MFin) in Sustainable Finance Executive Class​

The executive program of Master of Finance in Sustainable Finance is aimed to spur contributions among corporate/industry/regulatory board/NGO-IGO professionals in solving environmental and social problems within various ecosystems through financial means. This program puts more weight on the field case studies, and hence laying the important bridge between academic and professional practices in sustainable finance.

The UIII’s Faculty of Education offers a degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Education. Scholarship Duration: 4 semesters (2 years) for Master’s Program and 8 semesters (4 years) for PhD Program

Objective: Double Degree LPDP – UIII scholarships is a collaboration between LPDP and UIII which designed to enable students to obtain two academic degrees (double degree) within a single period of study from two different higher education institutions in Indonesia and abroad.

Target: The LPDP Double Degree Program is available for Indonesian citizens (WNI) under the Affirmation Scheme.

Scholarship Duration: 1 year at UIII and 1 year at Partner Institution.
